LFE’s Annual General Meeting was held on 9th of Sep 2024 followed by the much-anticipated Awards Ceremony. As usual, the evening proved highly successful, with anticipation, excitement, fun and pleasure had by all.
The evening was made especially successful by the official opening of the refurbished Main St. premises funded by the NSW Government under its Stronger Country Communities Fund.
It was a delight to have Margaret Roles officiating for the event, especially as it was her last official duty as Mayor of Hilltops Council. In addition, local member Stephanie Cooke, MP , spoke fondly and appreciatively of LFE’s contribution, not only to people with disabilities in the Hilltops region but also to the community at large. Ms Cooke’s special effort to attend, driving back that evening from her elected duties in Sydney, was much appreciated by those in attendance.
As always, the evening was capped off by delicious food and fellowship of LFE Members, whilst accompanied by easy listening dinner music, courtesy of guitarist, Brody Blackman, from Wollongong.
